Билли Джо Томас (полное имя) родился 7 августа 1942 года в городе Хьюго, штат Оклахома. Впервые певец получил признание общественности благодаря каверу на песню кантри-звезды Хэнка Уильямса I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry.
Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head

Everytime I turn the conversation to somethin'
Deeper than the weather
I can feel you all, but shuttin' down
And when I need an explanation for the silence
You just tell me «you don’t wanna talk about it now»
What you’re not sayin' is comin' in loud n clear
We’re at a crossroads here
If I’m not the one thing, you can’t stand to lose
If I’m not the arrow to the heart of you
If you don’t get drunk, on my kiss
If you think you can do better than this
Then I guess we’re done
Let’s not drag this on Consider me gone
With you I’ve always been wide open
Like a window or an ocean
There is nothin' I’ve ever tried to hide
So when you leave me, not knowin' where you’re goin'
I start thinkin' that we’re lookin'
We’re lookin' at goodbye
How about a strong bout a strong shot of honesty?
Don’t you owe that to me?
If I’m not the one thing, you can’t stand to lose
If I’m not the arrow to the heart of you
If you don’t get drunk, on my kiss
If you think you can do better than this
Then I guess we’re done
Let’s not drag this on Consider me gone
Consider me a memory
Consider me the past
Consider me a smile in an old photograph
Someone who used to make you laugh
If I’m not the one thing, you can’t stand to lose
If I’m not the arrow to the heart of you
Then I guess we’re done
Let’s not drag this on Consider me gone
Consider me gone
Consider me gone
Just consider me gone (whoa oh whoa oh)
Fifteen hours of flight
A lifetime on my mind
Got no tears for crying
They’ve all been left behind
And like the world below me
Different colors and scattered lines
There’s no perfect ending
We just ran out of time
I’m going back to Saskatchewan
To put my mama in the ground
I’m going back to Saskatchewan
To my mama’s little town
A prairie sky never dies
And that’s where she called home
Pictures of a little girl
From a life I’d never know
The fields they are a perfect gold
And the earth beneath them red
And this is where I’ll lay her down
So much left unsaid
I’m going back to Saskatchewan
To put my mama in the ground
I’m going back to Saskatchewan
To my mama’s little town
There’s the church and the schoolyard
And the old drug store
And just like from those stories
That she had told me before
The fields they are a perfect gold
And the earth beneath them red
So this is where I’ll lay her down
And send my mama off to bed
I’m going back (Going back) to Saskatchewan (Back)
To put my mama in the ground
I’m going back (Going back) to Saskatchewan (Back)
And that’s where I’ll be found
I’m going back to Saskatchewan
To my momma’s little town
Pull the shades, lock the door
Drag your feet across the floor
Memories hang in the hall
Pull them down off the wall
Now it’s done, she is gone, long gone
There’s not enough whiskey in the world tonight
Theres not enough whiskey for you to see the light
There’s not enough whiskey to make it all alright
It’s time for you to say goodnight
Find the match, light a smoke
Then it hits you, there’s no hope
Steady hands start to shake
For the hurt you can’t take
'Cause it’s done, she is gone, long gone
Not enough whiskey in the world tonight
There’s not enough whiskey to see the light
Not enough whiskey to make it all alright
It’s time to say goodnight
Tell yourself it’s alright
She’ll be coming home tonight
But you know that ain’t true
'Cause she’s with someone new
Blame yourself, but that ain’t fair
So pretend you don’t care
Pour the drinks, throw them back
As your heart starts to crack
Grab the phone, make the call
As the tears start to fall
But it’s done, she is gone, long gone
Not enough whiskey in the world tonight
There’s not enough whiskey for you to see the light
There’s not enough whiskey to make it all alright
It’s time for you to say goodnight
Not enough whiskey in the world tonight
There’s not enough whiskey to make it all alright
It’s time to say goodnight
Where's that gal with the red dress on
Some folks called her Dinah
Stole my heart away from me
Way down in Louisiana
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Oh, here comes Mr. Stricklin
Come on Al, take us back to Tulsa
Yeah, got it Tommy
Little bee sucks the blossom
Big bee gets the honey
Darkie raises the cotton
White man gets the money
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Hot day, must be Louis Tierney
Aw, turn it on, boys, turn it on
Walk and talk, Suzie
Walk and talk, Suzie
Walk and talk, Suzie
Walk and talk, Suzie
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
We always wear a great big smile
Never do look sour (no)
Travel all over the country
Playin' by the hour
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to marry
Take me back to Tulsa, I'm too young to wed thee
Might get side swiped
Might get way laid
I’ve been known to cash some checks
Above my pay grade
I’ve been busted by some broncos
That I never should have battled
Picked my dick up out the dust
And got right back up in the saddle
My daddy’s daddy’s grandpaw’s daddy
Passed it down to me
I’m a neck red born and corn bread fed hard headed sob yeah
Thats me still hangin tough enough for another round
When it comes to never givin up I got it down
Sometimes we argue
Sometimes we fight girl
Maybe that’s why we get along
'Cause we’re both right girl
Guess it takes ones to know one
And that’s how I recognize it
Ya put that sweet thing in my mustang
And you weren’t afraid to ride it
Your momma’s momma’s grandma’s momma
Passed it down to you
That bible thumpin chicken dumplin'
Cowgirl attitude
Yeah that’s you
Still hangin tough enough for another round
When it comes to never givin up u got it down
My daddy’s daddy’s grandpaw’s daddy
Passed it down to me
I’m a neck red born and corn bread fed hard headed sob yeah
Thats me still hangin tough enough for another round
When it comes to never givin up I got it down
When it comes to never givin up I got it down
I got it down
Where would I be
If I hadn’t spent that summer
Waiting tables in my hometown?
Oh, where, where would I be?
If I hadn’t spilled your drink
And you never asked me out
Would I even know the magic
Of something meant to be
Where would I be without your love
And what would I do if I woke up
One day and found out this was all a dream?
Where would I be without your soul?
Reminding me I’m always home
As long as I can hear your melody
God only knows
If you never found me
Where would I be?
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Where would I be
If I never been to Georgia
Played that bar on Athens street?
Oh where, where would I go?
If you ever left I’d never make it
One day on my own
'Cause baby, no one knows me like you do
You’re the one thing in this world that I can’t lose
Where would I be without your love
And what would I do if I woke up
One day and found out this was all a dream?
Where would I be without your soul?
Reminding me I’m always home
As long as I can hear your melody
God only knows
If you never found me
Where would I be?
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Without your kiss, without your laugh
Without your life, where would I be?
Without your hand in mine
Without you here, where would I be?
Where would I be without your love
And what would I do if I woke up
One day and found out this was all a dream?
Where would I be without your soul?
Reminding me I’m always home
As long as I can hear your melody
God only knows
If you never found me
Where would I be?
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Where would I be? Where would I be? Oh
For all you dirty crooks out there
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old, get it on time
Forgot to get old, get it on time
Forgot to get old
Tight
Rope walkin' to the other side
To the light, yeah
Where no one really ever dies
Where no one really ever dies
Oh, sweet oblivion, dear child
And we were so very young and wild
Forgot to get
Forgot to get
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old, get it on time
Forgot to get old, get it on time
Forgot to get old
Why?
Your chromosomes, they don't lie
So you buy
Yourselves an extra XYXY
Oh, sweet oblivion, dear child
And we were so very young and wild
Forgot to get
Forgot to get
Forgot to get
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old
Forgot to get old, get it on time
Get it on time
Get it on time
